Do You Realy Need that £50m fund Sam?
June 28, 2007 · Leave a Comment
It has been reported couple days ago that Sam Allardyce will have a transfer fund around £50m to buy quality players for Newcastle this season. But the latest target names will costs for nothing if Toon can get them signed.
Cameroon international Geremi from Chelsea and the latest potential target, Brazilian Edmilson from FC Barcelona, both will be a free agent player which is under Bosman rule will be vailable for free.
Now the question is, was he realy need that transfer kitty?
Mike Ashley would be proud of Sam Allardyce ability to get quality players for free, which means he doesn’t have to spend much on his first year as the new owner of Newcastle United. IMHO, Big Sam is get used to with a very limited budget, but still he can get great results on finding the right players to play for him. I salute you Allardyce!
I think at the moment, Allardyce is realize that even he has £100m transfer budget, he can’t get such a “Big Names” to play for him. He doesn’t want to get upset for the second time after his former player at Bolton turn down his offer to re-join him at Newcastle, although that player don’t have that “Big Name” quality.
So, let’s save that £50m for next season, when we have transformed into the top four club in the league. With Champions Cup place on hand, and with more well organized Newcastle United management, we can attract more “Big Names” into the squad and more than enough money to buy any players in the world that Sam Allardyce wanted.

What would you do if you have £50m in your hand to spend

Let’s say you were Sam Allardyce and have £50m to spend, what would you do? If I were Allardyce, the first thing that I will do is to make a bid to land Fernando Torres from Atletico Madrid. The Spanish side is asking a fee in the region of £20 million for the 23-year-old. What! Am I insane to bid another striker?

Newcastle United’s Best Match
June 26, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Newcastle United at it’s best can beat any team in the world, including the Red Devils, Manchester United. Magpies Zone takes you back to the year of 1996 where there are only two great teams who dominated the England Premierships League. On the day, there’s only one team who rules the league….wor Newcastle United!

We can’t match Chelsea. Why we have to?
June 24, 2007 · Leave a Comment
Sam Allardyce admitted today as being released by some news media that he is struggling to compete with Chelsea in the transfer market. IMHO, why we must compete with other club, in this case with Chelsea.
I believe the press were aiming at his two efforts to bring in players for Newcastle which have been thwarted by Chelsea, for both Steve Sidwell and Tal Ben Haim.
He told the News of the World that even you try all you can and use all the weight behind you to persuade players to come to you, it’s still that the attraction of the prospect of living in the capital and being involved in the UEFA Champions League was the key factor.
Again IMHO, I think Sam should not persuade any players that didn’t want to play for Newcastle with his heart but more interested to be the ghost of the bench.
So, there’s no point for us to feel that we have been competed with Chelsea to bring any players in. We are trying, but it is good to know earlier that any player we chased was not the right one for Newcastle. I prefer we have not so big-names in one player but he has a big-heart to play for Geordies supporters.
